Day 1 CPT at Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU)
Tennessee Wesleyan University, a private Methodist institution founded in 1857 and regionally accredited by SACSCOC, offers Day 1 CPT on its Knoxville campus for select executive-level graduate programs: Executive MBA (EMBA), Executive MS in Business Analytics (STEM), and Executive MS in Project Management (MSPM).
Why Day 1 CPT?
TWU allows you to begin CPT from day one of your program, or even as early as 30 days before classes start, provided you’ve registered. This makes it ideal if you’re an international student aiming to start practical training immediately.
Program Structure & Requirements
- Semesters: Fall, Spring, Summer, with 6 intakes per year (Jan, Mar, May, Jun, Aug, Oct).
- Credits per semester: Register for at least two courses (6 credits: 3 Online + 3 Hybrid/Residency) + 1 credit Internship Practicum per semester.
- Residency: One weekend (Fri–Sun) on campus each semester. Missing more than one may lead to dismissal (make‑up session costs $300) .
- Tuition: Approx. $600 per credit hour; full program (30 credits) totals ~$18,000, with payment plans available.
CPT Authorization Details
- Processed per semester; processing time is about 7–10 business days .
- No application deadline—apply anytime during the semester.
- You’ll receive a CPT‑endorsed I‑20 form and must secure an employer and CPT Employer Agreement prior to submission.
- Multiple part-time jobs are allowed (even two), as long as each is CPT-approved; full-time CPT also possible.
